How did all this start with what you are doing? Some role models?
I think I always had in me the dream of performing one day. Since I was a kid and I played the piano. I realised I wanted the stage to be my working place when I joined my gymnasium theathre group. I fell in love with theathre! But I still felt the need for being more physical, verbal theatre was not enough for me! Passing through contemporary dance, I came to the circus world. I attended my first school when I was 19, and I immediately felt at home! It was such a great feeling: after I had been constantly researching, I felt that I had found that THING I was burning for. And then of course another journey began: I attended different circus and dance schools, mostly in Italy and then in Sweden. In the beginning I actually wanted to be a juggler, but I soon realised I didnt have enough patience for that! Then arial acrobatics came and the trapeze.I can say that I always went for what I wanted to do, I never had any idol or icon, even though many people on my journey encouraged me and deeply ispired me. Among those my mother.
How did you get in touch with Burnt Out Punks?
We met in Alby,in the so called ”Subtopia Paradise”.It´s a great place, where the whole circus community works, trains, meet. The Punks have their training space there and when I was in the circus university we were training in ”Cirkus Hallen, which is in the same area. Then we met at some parties.of course!

When I saw your show, I admire by what you doing, you're never afraid? What is the kick to do it?
Yes, I am afraid sometimes. All circus artists are. Not only for the kind of things we do, but also for meeting the audience. Before going on stage I´m afraid of disappointing them, or missing the chance to connect with them, When you´re on stage you cant be private, you have to be like an open book and people must be able to read you. Some days, just before going on stage, I think: ” Why in hell did I choose this job??” you expose yourself to cruel judgment, whithout mentioning the pain in the body! But then I tell myself that I can do it, and that that is my dream…and the kick of adrenaline you get has no price!
Are you the only girl in the group? If so, how is that ? What's it like working with these maniacs, hihi?
Yes, I am only girl and sometimes I wish it wasn't so! When we are on tour it can be hard: the work it´s tough and we live all together in the bus... no pivacy at all! But it´s true that the feeling with the group is nice, and we try to respect each other´s (little) space and mood. I like that when it comes to work everybody is very serious and…we really work hard to make this happen!!!
What is your role in this group? Character and personally?
My character, Miss Chief, is the girl that…doesnt give a fuck about what´s going on!! She harrases everybody in the group and always tries to accomplish her evil plans! And likes to swing on her trapeze, of course. Personally…. I´m the pearl among the pigs!!
What do you think the Swedes are receiving this what you are doing? Does we have much more to learn?
Swedish people usually really like the show, i think it inspires them to break free from the rules and fully enjoy their lives.
What is beauty to you?
Self confidence and love for yourself.
